On October 23, GKIDS announced that they will host a series of preview screenings for Weathering With You. The publisher will partner with Fathom Events to give the film a two-night run on January 15 and 16, 2020. The screenings will feature bonus content that will not be shown during the general release of the film.
Tickets will go on sale on November 15, via Fathom Events’ website. The film’s general theatrical run will begin on January 17.
Makoto Shinkai directed the film and wrote the scripts at CoMix Wave Films, with Masayoshi Tanaka (anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, your name.) providing character designs.
