The latest mass shooting enacted maliciously on the Trans Day of Remembrance is the latest in the continual ongoing push by hate groups to dehumanize, cut off care to, and encourage violence toward the trans community. It is as frightening as it is exhausting, with no simple end to the fight for survival in sight. Below, we’ve listed nine organizations that are dedicated to advocacy, legal services, financial aid, and information to trans people in need. We also encourage you to look up small grassroots organizations in your area, as they are often most in need of ongoing support.

Offers help with housing, employment, and health care for Black trans applicants.
Particularly focused on helping trans applicants gain access to surgery, hormones, and presentation aids like binders.
Specifically addresses transportation needs for Black trans women in order to make sure they can travel safely. When necessary, this includes burial transport funds.
Trans Women of Color Collective
Aid organization that also emphasizes community aid and uplifting Black trans women in leadership roles.
Texas-located organization that provides resources up to and including relocation help for trans youth and their families.
Washington State organization offering legal services to the Black trans community.
Has grants that help Black trans applicant pay toward rent or gender-affirming surgery.
