On July 20, Netflix announced that anime project Sound & Fury will hit their service in Fall 2019. The feature, which will be produced by Kamikaze Douga, is based on a story by country singer-songwriter Sturgill Simpson.
Jumpei Mizusaki (Batman Ninja) will write and direct the feature at Kamikaze Douga, while Takashi Okazaki (Garo -Vanishing Line-, Summer Wars – Oz segments) provides character designs. Masaru Matsumoto, Michael Arias, Henry Thurlow, Arthell Isom, and Koji Morimoto (Akira) are attached as additional directors for the project.
Shunsuke Ochiai will serve as producer.

John Sturgill Simpson is an American country music singer-songwriter, who made his debut in 2004. The artist has released three albums to date, and won a Grammy in 2017 for Best Country Album with A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.
