Earlier today, the official The Seven Deadly Sins anime website updated with a new key visual and trailer for upcoming anime series The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods (Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin). We break the details down below.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods will hit Japanese TV in Fall 2019.
Susumu Nishizawa (Hikaru no Go, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed C.E.73: Stargazer) will direct the series at Studio DEEN, with Rie Nishino (Save Me! Lollipop, Tokyo Pig) providing character designs. Rintarou Ikeda (Magical Sempai) is in charge of series composition. The show’s soundtrack will be scored by the team of Hiroyuki Sawano, Kohta Yamamoto, and Takafumi Wada.

The first season of The Seven Deadly Sins debuted in Japan in the fall 2014 broadcast season. Tensai Okamura (Blue Exorcist, Darker than Black) directed the project at A-1 Pictures. Keigo Sasaki (Night Raid 1931, Blue Exorcist) provided character designs, while Shôtarô Suga was in charge of series composition. Netflix currently streams the show as a Netflix Original. Funimation released the series on home video.
A four-episode special, titled The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War-, aired in August 2016. The series was followed up by Winter 2018 title The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments and feature film The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky.
