It looks like Sentai is ready to take the dive into this sports anime.
Earlier today, Sentai Filmworks announced that they picked up the rights to DIVE!! The publisher will release the title on home video in December 2018.
Sentai’s license includes the United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Wales, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, South Africa, Latin America, Spain, and Portugal.
DIVE!! aired in the Summer 2017 broadcast season. The show streamed exclusively on Amazon during its run.
Kaoru Suzuki (Hellsing TV, Pupipō! ) directed the project at studio Zero-G. Suzuhito Yasuda (Durarara!!, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) provided the original character designs for the project, while Touka Machida (Lucky Star, Wake Up, Girls!) took charge of series composition.
Sentai describes the series as:
DIVE!! revolves around the Mizuki Diving Club as they struggle to stay afloat due to financial troubles. With their sponsor threatening to pull their funding, Tomoki Sakai and the other members of the club need nothing short of a miracle to keep practicing the sport they love. Luckily, their new coach Kayoko Asaki makes it her mission to not only save the club but to get the team to pass the Olympic qualifications!
