Earlier today, the official Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- anime website announced that the show’s second season will air on Japanese TV in April 2020. The series will air after a screening of the show’s first season. The run will feature a new cut, which will begin airing on January 1. A new visual for the re-airing was revealed, which shows Subaru and Emilia passing by each other in a cityscape.
Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- is based on Tappei Nagatsuki’s light novel series of the same name. The series originally began airing in the Spring 2016 broadcast season, and ran for two cours.
Masaharu Watanabe (Wakaba Girl) directed the project at White Fox, with Kyuta Sakai (Higurashi no Naku Koroni Kai, Steins;Gate) providing character designs. Masahiro Yokotani (The Devil is a Part-Timer!, Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club) was in charge of series composition.
Crunchyroll streamed Re:ZERO as it aired in Japan. They describe the title as:
