There’s no better way of beating the heat than hitting the sandy beaches… or something!
Earlier today, the official Mob Psycho 100 anime website updated with a new key visual for the upcoming Mob Psycho 100 II. The image features Mob, Reigen, and Dimple enjoying a toasty time on the beach.
Mob Psycho 100 II hits Japanese TV in January. A new visual will be released each month leading up to the premiere.
The second season of Mob Psycho 100 was revealed in March at the Mob Psycho 100 Reigen: The Miraculous Unknown Psychic fan event.
The core staff from the first season will return to work on the show at Bones. Yuzuru Tachikawa (Death Parade) will return to the director’s chair, while Yoshimichi Kameda (Paroru no Miraijima) provides character designs. Hiroshi Seko (Ajin – Demi-Human, Seraph of the End) is in charge of series composition on the project.
The first season of the Mob Psycho 100 anime aired in the Summer 2016 broadcast season. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and describes the title as:
Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. Mob) is an 8th grader with powerful psychic abilities. Workingunder his not-so-capable master, Reigen, Mob uses his powers to exorcise evil spirits. But his will to be normal causes him to suppress his powers and feelings until he hits 100 percent — a point where his pent-up emotions are unleased and a darker power takes over.
Mob Psycho 100 is a manga series by One-Punch Man creator ONE. The series revolves around middle school student Kageyama Shigeo, whose lack of presence earned him the nickname “Mob.” Though he seems inconspicuous, Mob is actually a powerful Esper. As he gets older, Mob comes to realize the dangers of his powers, and chooses to live under a constant emotional shackle to contain his abilities. Mob wants nothing more than to live a normal life, but must endure a barrage of problems that seem to arrive at his feet. If his emotions are fully unlocked, a mysterious “something” will overtake his entire being.
Mob Psycho 100 first debuted on Ura Sunday in 2012. The series ran through December 2017, and spans fifteen collected volumes. Volume 16 will hit Japanese retailers on April 4.
