So, this is an isekai series about misunderstandings.
Earlier today, Kurone Kanzaki took to his personal blog to announce that his Maō-sama, Retry! light novels will receive an anime TV series. The title is currently slated to launch in 2019.
The announcement is also included on the wraparound band for the latest volume of the title’s manga adaptation (Volume 2), which hit stores today. You can check the images out below.
Kanzaki’s announcement also states that international publication for the title “is coming”, though a specific plan has yet to be announced.
Kurone Kanzaki and illustrator Amaru Minotake’s Maō-sama, Retry! light novels launched under Futabasha’s Monster Bunko imprint in October 2017. The title currently spans three books, with the latest volume hitting stores on April 20.
A manga adaptation by Kanzaki and artist Amaru Minotake launched on Futabasha’s Web Comic Action digital platform in October 2017. The second volume shipped to stores on September 12.
Manga resource Baka-Updates describes the title as:
Oono Akira, a working adult that can be found anywhere was transported to a different world while logged into a character known as the “Demon Lord” in a game he manages. There he meets a child with a disabled leg, and they begin to travel together, but there’s no way that others will leave a “demon lord” with such overwhelming strength alone.
While being targeted by countries and saints that are trying to subdue the demon lord, they cause turmoil wherever they go.
Demon lord on the outside, normal person on the inside, a misunderstanding type fantasy!
