On April 23, Toonami’s official Facebook page announced that Lupin The Third: Part 5 will hit the block on June 15. As of press time, a time slot has yet to be announced.
The series hit Japanese TV in the Spring 2018 broadcast season.
Yuichiro Yano (Lupin the Third Part 4, Aikatsu! movie) was tapped to direct the project at Telecom Animation Film, with Hisao Yokobori (Lupin III Italian Game) providing character designs. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) was in charge of series composition.
Crunchyroll streamed Lupin the Third Part 5 as part of their simulcast lineup. They describe the show as:
Lupin’s current target: a key to a certain server facility. Once obtained, the information of all the customers and their funds from the world’s largest online bank will be in Lupin’s hands. There, they find the developer of the security system of the bank: Ami. Lupin and Jigen successfully capture Ami and bring her to their hideout. However, almost immediately upon their arrival, Zenigata and his men surround the place. Being at a loss as to why their location was exposed so easily, they discover an online show going viral. The show’s name: “Arrest Lupin III.”
