On September 22, the final episode of a re-broadcast of the Lost Song anime hit Japanese TV. During the episode, a TV spot aired, which announced that a new project is in the works for the franchise. As of press time, no further details have been announced.
Lost Song launched on Netflix Japan on March 31. The show will hit the service worldwide on September 30.
The title is an original co-production between Liden Films and Dwango. Series creators Junpei and Morita are directing the project at Liden Films and penning the scripts. Tomonori Fukuda (Robotics;Notes) provided the original character designs for the series.
Yuki Tamura performed closing theme Tears Echo, while Konomi Suzuki handled opening theme Utaeba Soko ni Kimi ga Iru Kara (If I Sing, You Will Be There).
