Pon Pon Pon intensifies.
Earlier today, the official website for upcoming film Monster Strike The Movie: Sora no Kanata (Monster Strike The Movie: Beyond the Clouds) announced that Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will perform main theme song Kizunami. Yasutaka Nakata (CAPSULE) wrote the song.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu commented on the single, stating “I think that it’s a heartwarming song, which brings back memories important people with a pop melody.” The melody will ship as a single on September 7, in addition to being part of upcoming album Jiyapamyu.
A new trailer for Monster Strike The Movie: Sora no Kanata also hit the web, which uses the song as a background track.
The film will hit Japanese theaters on October 5.
Hiroshi Nishikiori (Azumanga Daioh, A Certain Magical Index) was tapped to direct Monster Strike The Movie: Sora no Kanata at Orange, Yuichi Tanaka (A Certain Magical Index, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!) providing character designs. Takayo Ikami (Penguindrum, Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation) is penning the feature’s screenplay.

Alice Hirose’s role was previously announced. Her role as Sora will be her first voice acting role.
