I present to you, the Great Tae Yamada, who sings and shambles in the name of the moon.
Earlier today, the third episode of Zombie Land Saga aired on Japanese TV. In the show’s end credits, the role for Tae Yamada was updated, from “???” to show Mitsuishi’s name.
Kotono Mitsuishi has been active in the anime industry since 1988, when she debuted as Tomoyo in Ace wo Nerae! 2. She has gone on to voice numerous iconic roles throughout her career, including:
- Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon)
- Misato Katsuragi (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
- Juri Arisugawa (Revolutionary Girl Utena)
- Excel Excel (Excel Saga)
- Ebichu (Ebichu The Housekeeping Hamster)
- Mireille Bouquet (Noir)
- Murrue Ramius, Haro, & Narrator (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED)
- Boa Hancock (One Piece)
- Katerose von Kreuzer (Legend of the Galactic Heroes)
Zombie Land Saga began airing on October 4.
Munehisa Sakai (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal Season 1, One Piece Episodes 244 – 372) is directing the series at MAPPA, with Kazumi Fukagawa (Idolish7) providing character designs. Shigeru Murakoshi (Azure Striker Gunvolt, Garo: Crimson Moon) is in charge of series composition for the project.

Zombie Land Saga is a co-production between Cygames, MAPPA, and Avex Pictures. Nobuhiro Takenaka will serve as producer for the project, which has been in the works for four years. In an interview with Anime Herald, Takenaka revealed that the studio is negotiating global licenses as of July. He added that MAPPA CEO Manabu Otsuka had the original idea for the work, stating “Otsuka-san of MAPPA had the idea and a clear vision.”
Crunchyroll is streaming the show as part of their Fall 2018 simulcast lineup. They describe it as:
