On November 2, HIDIVE announced that they will stream Gunparade March on their digital platform. Both the subtitled and English-dubbed versions of the show will kick off on November 8, 2018 at 17:00 UTC (1:00PM EDT / 10:00AM PDT), with new episodes launching on Thursdays.
Gunparade March originally aired in the Winter 2003 broadcast season. The series was directed by Katsushi Sakurabi (Flying Witch, Lostorage incited WIXOSS) at J.C. Staff, with Yasuhiro Irie (Alien Nine) providing character designs. Fumihiko Takayama (Sweet Blue Flowers, Alice & Zoroku) was in charge of series composition.
Maiden Japan currently holds the rights to the title in North America. They describe it as:
In 1945, an alien invasion ended World War II and united humanity against a common enemy. Now, more than 50 years later and after countless deaths, a new group of teenagers have been drafted to train as pilots of the advanced combat mecha known as Humanoid Walking Tanks (HWTs). For Atsushi Hayami and the rest of his class (Platoon 5121), their chances of living to see their twenties now rely on the hardened battle steel of their armor, the courage and strength of their comrades in arms and the tactics of superior officers who see them as game pieces to be played against the Phantom Beasts. Friendships and love blossom against a battle-torn landscape, and every day is another desperate struggle to survive a seemingly endless war in Gunparade March!
