It looks like the fire is spreading at HIDIVE.
Earlier today, HIDIVE announced that they launched an Amazon Fire OS enabled app. The service is now available on Amazon Fire OS devices, which currently enjoy a customer-base of 30+ million.
Specifically, the app is avaialble on both the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick (2nd Generation and newer).
HIDIVE launched in June 2017, shortly after acquiring the network streaming assets from The Anime Network. The publisher previously launched apps on iOS and Android. HIDIVE announced that they would launch out of their beta period in March. On March 26, HIDIVE launched their DubCast initiative, which sees the publisher streaming dubbed versions of shows within two weeks of their Japanese airing.
Since its inception, HIDIVE has primarily streamed Sentai Filmworks’ library of titles, and scooped up the exclusive streams to dubs of shows like Food Wars! and Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto. In addition, though, the publisher has added numerous high-profile classes that include Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Space Runaway Ideon, and Lone Wolf and Cub (live-action).
Over the past few weeks, HIDIVE has also picked up the streaming rights to Aura Battler Dunbine and Glass Mask 1984.
