The spyce must flow to HIDIVE this season.
Earlier today, HIDIVE announced that they will stream Release The Spyce as part of their Fall 2018 simulcast lineup. The series will launch on October 6, at 18:38 UTC (2:38PM EDT) for subscribers in the United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Latin America, and other select territories.
Sentai announced that they licensed the series on September 29.
Release the Spyce will also hit Japanese TV on October 6. The series will air on the following networks (All times JST):
- MBS: 10/6/2018 at 26:38 (10/7/2018 at 2:38AM)
- Tokyo MX: 10/7/2018 at 23:30 (10/7/2018 at 11:30PM)
- BS11: 10/7/2018 at 25:00 (10/8/2018 at 1:00AM)
The series is a collaboration between Yuruyuri creator Namori and Yuki Yuna Is a Hero creator Takahiro.
You Satou was tapped to direct the project at Lay-duce, with Satoshi Ishino (Excel Saga, Date A Live) providing character designs. Co-creator Takahiro is in charge of series composition and original planning for the title.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

- Goe Ishikawa: Yuri Noguchi

- Bunchō no Onna (Sparrow Woman): Shizuka Itou
- Theresia: Risa Taneda
Aya Uchida, Yuri Noguchi, Yukari Anzai, Manami Numakura, Aya Suzaki, and Akane Fujita will perform the show’s theme songs under the name Tsukikage. The opening theme song will be titled Supatto! Spy & Spice, while the ending will be called Hide & Seek.
Release the Spyce will revolve around Momo Minamoto, a high school girl in the city of Sorasaki. Momo’s very different from most people her age, though. She’s actually an agent for the private intelligence agency Tsukikage, which protects the city and its citizens from harm. Under the careful instruction of her senior Yuki, Momo and her other friends keep the peace.
