Earlier today, the final episode of the Dr. Stone anime’s first season aired on Japanese TV. The end of the episode contained an 18-second teaser trailer, which confirmed that the show will receive a second season. The promo also revealed that the upcoming season will focus on the manga’s “Stone Wars” arc.
The Dr. Stone anime launched on July 5. Crunchyroll is streaming the show as a simulcast, while Funimation is producing a SimulDub.
Shinya Iino directed the first season at TMS Entertainment, with Yuko Iwasa (Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Yowamushi Pedal Movie) providing character designs. Yuichiro Kido (Gatchaman CROWDS insight) was in charge of series composition.
