Crunchyroll To Stream Dubs For Konosuba, 6 More; First KonoSuba Dub Cast Revealed

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream dubbed adaptations of seven titles in their digital lineup. The publisher will offer the following:

  • KonoSuba Season 1: English, Spanish, and Portuguese
  • In Another World with My Smartphone: German, Spanish, French and Portuguese
  • Interviews with Monster Girls: Spanish and Portuguese
  • Joker Game: Spanish, French, and Portuguese
  • Orange: Spanish, French, and Portuguese
  • Recovery of an MMO Junkie: Spanish, French, Portuguese, and German
  • The Ancient Magus Bride: German, Spanish, and Portuguese

All of the dubs will launch as Crunchyroll exclusives on January 15.

In addition, Crunchyroll announced the first English cast members for KonoSuba. The series will star the following:

  • Kazuma: Arnie Pantoja
  • Aqua: Faye Mata
  • Megumin: Erica Mendez
  • Darkness: Cristina Vee

KonoSuba aired in the Winter 2016 broadcast season.

Takaomi Kanasaki (Is This a Zombie?, Tokyo Ravens) directed the title at Studio DEEN, with Koichi Kikuta providing character designs. Makoto Uezu (Akame ga KILL!, The Heroic Legend of Arslan) was in charge of series composition.

After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato’s disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Yuji Yanase (Himegoto, Onsen Yōsei Hakone-chan) directed the series at Production Reed, with the team of Toshihide Masutate (Elf Princess Rane, Papillon Rose), Masahiro Sekuguchi, and Miyako Nishida (Rainbow Days) providing character designs. Natsuko Takahashi (My Love Story!!, Long Riders!) was in charge of series composition.

After dying as a result of God’s mistake, the main character finds himself in a parallel world, where he begins his second life. His only possessions are the body that God gave back to him and a smartphone that works even in this new world. As he meets all kinds of new people and forges new friendships, he ends up learning the secret to this world. He inherits the legacy of an ancient civilization and works together with the kings of some very laid-back countries on his carefree travels through this new world.

During the spring of her second year of high school, Naho receives a letter. Its sender is herself from ten years in the future.
