Just when you think this class is full, more people appear on that road to school.
Earlier today, the official Chio’s School Road (Chio-chan no Tsūgakuro) anime website updated with four new cast members, as well as details on the show’s theme songs.
We break the details down below.
Cast
The series will add the following:
- Salaryman: Junji Majima
- Takkun: Minami Shinoda
- Takkun’s Mama: Yuko Minaguchi
- Toshio Ushida: Nobuo Tobita
Theme Songs
Lead actresses Naomi Ōzora, Chiaki Omigawa, and Kaede Hondo will perform opening theme song Danger in my Tsūgakuro (Danger in my School Road). The song will ship as a CD Single on July 25, as will the show’s closing theme.
Closing theme song Nana Iroad (Rainbow Coloroad) will be a duet by Naomi Ōzora, Chiaki Omigawa.
The series will kick off on July 6, with the full broadcast schedule as follows:

Chio’s School Road will hit Japanese TV in July. The title was originally slated to air in April, though it was delayed. Kadokawa first announced the title in July 2017.
Takayuki Inagaki (Rosario + Vampire, First Love Monster) is pulling double duty at diomedea as both director and head of series composition. Mayuko Matsumoto (KanColle, Handa-kun) is providing character designs for the project.
The opening theme song will be performed by Naomi Ōzora, Chiaki Omigawa, and Kaede Hondo. The closing theme will be tackled by just Naomi Ōzora and Chiaki Omigawa.

Kadokawa describes the project as:
Arriving at a school just as usual is a miracle!
Gangs at the construction site, sudden desire to urinate… The high school student Chio has to face all kinds of troubles!
The extreme comedy is now being adapted into an anime!
Chio’s School Road kicked off in the pages of Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Flapper magazine in May 2014. To date, six collected volumes have been produced, with the most recent hitting stores on March 23.
