It’s time for a new generation of ninja to take the spotlight.
Earlier today, Viz Media announced that Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will air on Adult Swim’s Toonami block. The series will begin airing on September 29.
Boruto: Naruto Next Generations began airing on Japanese TV on April 5, 2017.
The show adapts Mikie Ikemoto and Ukyo Kodachi’s Boruto manga. Noriyuki Abe is directing the project at Studio Pierrot, with Hiroyuki Yamashita serving as series director. The team of Tetsuya Nishio and Hirofumi Suzuki is providing character designs on the show, while Makoto Uezo takes charge of series composition.
Viz Media currently holds the rights to Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and describes the title as:
The life of the shinobi is beginning to change. Boruto Uzumaki, son of Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, has enrolled in the Ninja Academy to learn the ways of the ninja. Now, as a series of mysterious events unfolds, Boruto’s story is about to begin!
