It looks like fans will have a chance to dive into this new adventure a little early.
On August 23, Aniplex of America announced that they opened ticket sales for their upcoming Sword Art Online –Alicization– première event. Tickets are priced at $15 each, and are available via the official Sword Art Online website.
The event will be held on September 15, at Los Angeles’ Montalbán Theatre. Doors will open at 4:00PM Pacific (1:00PM Eastern), with the screening slated to start at 6:00PM (3:00PM Eastern).

The show will be held on September 15 at 6:00PM Pacific, with doors opening at 4:00PM. The show itself will be a subtitled screening of the hour-long première for Sword Art Online: Alicization, which will hit Japanese TV in October.
Aniplex will sell exclusive Sword Art Online -Alicization- merchandise at the premiere, though specific details have yet to be announced.
The series will have launch events in six other countries, including Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Russia, and South Korea.
Japan’s event will also be held on September 15, at the Tokyo International Forum Hall C. Actors Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Haruka Tomatsu, and Ai Kayano will all attend the screening.
Sword Art Online: Alicization will hit Japanese TV in October.
Manabu Ono (Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, The irregular at magic high school) will direct the project at A-1 Pictures, with the team of Gou Suzuki (Oreimo 2, Minami-ke Natsuyasumi), Shingo Adachi (Megaman Star Force, Sword Art Online), and Tomoya Nishiguchi providing character designs. Yuki Kajiura is scoring the show’s soundtrack.
The confirmed voice cast includes:
- Asuna Yūki: Haruka Tomatsu
- Kazuto Kirigaya/Kirito: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka
- Alice Zuberg: Ai Kayano
- Eugeo: Nobunaga Shimazaki
Sword Art Online: Alicization will adapt the “Alicization” arc of the Sword Art Online light novels, which spans volumes 9 – 18.
